Breaking News: 5 most important recruits officially visiting Michigan Football in June

As official visit season begins this weekend for the Michigan Wolverines, here are our list of the five most important recruits headed to Ann Arbor this June.

Five-star RB Savion Hiter, weekend of June 13

The 5-foot-11.5, 200-pounder is regarded as the top running back in the 2026 class and a consensus top-20 overall player. After Michigan lost out on the Javian Osborne sweepstakes, all attention is now focused on Hiter.

Justice Haynes and Jordan Marshall are going to split carries this season and hopefully in 2026, too. However, after those two, this is an unproven running backs room, and adding a premier player like Hiter would continue what has been an impressive pipeline of late.

The Wolverines are battling Georgia, Tennessee and Ohio State for Hiter.

Four-star OT Malakai Lee, June 20

At 6-foot-6, 318 pounds, Lee has all the physical and athletic traits to dominate at the next level. His incredible profile is part of the reason he is so highly regarded as a top-200 overall player and top-15 tackle.

Michigan already has a commitment from four-star interior lineman Bear McWhorter, but the Wolverines need a dominant player on the outside. Lee, who is also considering Alabama, Georgia and Texas, seems like one of the more promising options.

Four-star IOL Leo Delaney, June 13

Much like Lee, Delaney represents head coach Sherrone Moore’s insistence on building through the trenches and playing a physical, run-first style of offense. Delaney is one of the top offensive linemen in the country, and at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, he has the versatility to play multiple positions.

Tennessee probably represents Michigan’s biggest competition here, as he previously raved about the Volunteers and is reportedly “in love” with them. However, despite his affinity with the southern school, a good visit could swing Delaney towards Ann Arbor.

Four-star DL Titan Davis, June 20

The 6-foot-5, 238-pounder (although he lists himself at 262 pounds) is an absolute beast. He is big enough to play on the interior and stuff the run, and athletic enough to set the edge and get after the quarterback.

The Wolverines have only one defensive line commit so far, three-star edge Tariq Boney, and Davis is an excellent candidate to bolster that group. He is a borderline top-100 overall player and a top-20 defensive lineman.

Along with Michigan, Davis also has Alabama, Penn State and USC in his top-four, so this visit should go a long way in determining his decision.

Four-star LB Nick Abrams II, June 6

One of the elite linebackers in the class, Abrams is a true inside linebacker with a bit of Jaishawn Barham to his game. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder has great instincts, aggressive pursuits and a keen football sense. That downhill, attack-first mindset would fit perfectly in Wink Martindale’s defense.

Abrams could be the first linebacker in Michigan’s 2026 class. The current roster is senior-heavy, with Barham, Ernest Hausmann, Jimmy Rolder and Jaydon Hood all nearing the end of their eligibility.

Michigan needs to replenish this room, and Abrams would be a great get. The Wolverines are going up against Georgia, Oregon and Alabama for his services.

There are dozens of other crucial prospects officially visiting in June, and perhaps some of Michigan’s committed players can help sway their potential future teammates. Until then, stay tuned for more updates on these visits.
