Netflix is diving into NFL history once again, this time with a powerful new documentary centered on one of football’s most resilient and storied franchises—the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The upcoming production, titled *Voice of the National Football League*, will focus entirely on the Bucs’ journey from humble beginnings to championship glory, highlighting the team’s influence within the larger narrative of the National Football League.

The documentary, now in production, is being developed by NFL Films in partnership with Netflix’s original content division. According to insiders, this isn’t just a profile of a team—it’s a comprehensive chronicle of how the Tampa Bay Buccaneers evolved into a cultural and competitive force in American football.

Netflix confirmed that *Voice of the National Football League* will explore the Buccaneers’ history in depth—from their infamously rocky inaugural season in 1976, in which they lost all 14 games, to their transformation into a powerhouse with Super Bowl victories in 2002 and 2021. It will also explore the social and cultural footprint the team has made in Florida and beyond.

“Through the eyes of legends, fans, and those who lived through every moment, this documentary will tell the story of not just a football team, but of a franchise that represents grit, redemption, and triumph,” said Carlos Freeman, the project’s lead director and longtime sports documentarian.

A standout feature of the series will be its detailed look at the 2002 Super Bowl-winning squad led by Hall of Fame coach Jon Gruden, whose defense—anchored by NFL greats like Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, John Lynch, and Ronde Barber—redefined dominance in that era. Fans can expect never-before-seen footage and newly recorded interviews with players and staff from that championship team.

Equally prominent will be coverage of the Tom Brady era, which began in 2020 and culminated in a historic Super Bowl LV victory. The film promises a behind-the-scenes look at how Brady’s arrival reshaped the locker room culture, revived the franchise’s global relevance, and delivered the Bucs’ second Lombardi Trophy—this time in their own Raymond James Stadium.

In addition to celebrating achievements, the documentary will take a candid look at the Buccaneers’ struggles, including leadership changes, disappointing seasons, and the challenges of rebuilding. These moments are expected to humanize the team’s narrative, offering insight into the emotional and strategic toll that comes with building a lasting legacy in professional sports.

The production will feature commentary from former and current players, coaching staff, media insiders, and loyal fans, along with rare audio archives that capture iconic radio calls, coach-player exchanges, and post-game reflections.

Though Netflix hasn’t released an official premiere date, industry sources suggest *Voice of the National Football League* will hit the platform in the fall of 2025—just in time for the NFL season.
