Breaking: Rams Ink Rookie TE Terrance Ferguson, Finalize 2025 Draft Class

The Los Angeles Rams have officially wrapped up their 2025 NFL Draft business, signing rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson and completing contracts with the entire class. Ferguson, a standout from the University of Oregon, was the final piece of the puzzle, bringing the team’s offseason rookie signings to a close just in time for training camp.

With Ferguson now under contract, the Rams can turn their full attention to on-field preparation without lingering concerns over unsigned rookies. The team had made steady progress since the draft, locking in picks one by one, and Ferguson’s deal represents the final signature needed to round out what analysts have called a well-balanced and strategic draft haul.

Ferguson arrives in Los Angeles with plenty of upside and a proven college résumé. Known for his reliable hands, route-running ability, and blocking skills, the 6-foot-5 tight end projects as a versatile weapon in Sean McVay’s offense. During his time at Oregon, he developed into one of the Pac-12’s most dependable pass-catchers at the tight end position, finishing his college career with over 1,200 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Rams clearly see value in Ferguson’s skill set, not only as a pass-catcher but also in his ability to contribute to the run game. With veteran tight ends already on the roster, Ferguson will likely compete for rotational reps early on, with the potential to carve out a larger role as the season progresses. His football IQ and work ethic have drawn praise from scouts, and he’s expected to adapt quickly to the pro level.

Los Angeles’ 2025 draft class, now fully signed, is a reflection of the front office’s desire to build depth across multiple positions. Beyond Ferguson, the Rams’ draft featured selections that addressed both current needs and long-term development. Several picks have already made strong impressions during minicamp, and the coaching staff is optimistic about how quickly this rookie group can contribute.

General Manager Les Snead spoke briefly about the significance of completing rookie signings ahead of camp. “It’s always important to get everyone in the building and on the field without distractions,” Snead said. “With Terrance now signed, we’re excited to watch the entire group develop within our system.”

Ferguson, for his part, expressed enthusiasm about joining the Rams and learning under McVay’s offensive scheme. “It’s a dream come true,” he told reporters after signing. “I’m ready to work, learn from the vets, and earn my place. The staff believes in what I can do, and I plan to make the most of the opportunity.”

With training camp fast approaching, the Rams are positioned to hit the ground running. The completion of their 2025 draft class not only brings administrative closure but also reinforces the franchise’s commitment to developing young talent and maintaining a competitive edge in the ever-tough NFC West.
