Full Reveal: Netflix, ESPN, and Guinness World Records Announce Historic Joint Documentary Honoring the Extraordinary Coaching Journey of Tim Tadlock Following His Unmatched Impact on College Baseball

In an unprecedented collaboration destined to make waves across both the sports and entertainment industries, Netflix, ESPN, and Guinness World Records have come together to produce a powerful new documentary spotlighting the unparalleled career of Texas Tech baseball coach Tim Tadlock. The joint effort seeks to honor the legacy of a man whose coaching brilliance, leadership, and unshakable dedication to the game have forever altered the landscape of college baseball.

The documentary—tentatively titled *Tadlock: Built From Grit*—aims to deliver an unfiltered, deeply personal exploration of Tadlock’s rise from a gritty, no-nonsense junior college coach to a nationally revered figure at the helm of Texas Tech’s powerhouse baseball program. The collaboration marks the first time these three global entities—Netflix, the world’s leading streaming platform; ESPN, the dominant voice in sports media; and Guinness World Records, the global authority on extraordinary achievement—have teamed up to celebrate a college baseball coach in such a monumental way.

The announcement follows Tadlock’s latest milestone season with the Red Raiders, a campaign that saw the team clinch yet another NCAA tournament berth, while Tadlock solidified his place in college baseball history with over 400 career wins and multiple College World Series appearances. His ability to turn Texas Tech into a consistent national contender, while simultaneously developing talent and fostering a culture of character, has earned him the admiration of players, coaches, and fans alike.

“This isn’t just about wins and losses,” said Erin Andrews, one of the producers tied to the project via ESPN Films. “It’s about the man behind the success—the relentless work ethic, the resilience, and the way he inspires young men to grow both as athletes and human beings.”

The film promises exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, in-depth interviews with former and current players, testimonials from rival coaches, and commentary from leading sports journalists. Tadlock’s early life, his formative years coaching at Grayson County College, and his transformational impact on Texas Tech baseball will be fully explored. Viewers will also get a close-up look at the Red Raiders’ dramatic postseason runs and the emotional highs and lows that have defined Tadlock’s era.

Guinness World Records will recognize several of Tadlock’s coaching achievements in the documentary, including his record-setting win percentages during critical seasons and his rapid rise through the collegiate coaching ranks—making him one of the youngest to reach certain coaching milestones.

Tim Tadlock himself, known for his humility and focus on the team rather than individual acclaim, responded to the announcement in typical understated fashion:

> “I’ve been blessed to work with great people, coach some outstanding young men, and be part of a university that means the world to me. This is their story as much as it is mine.”

Set to premiere in early 2026 on Netflix, with a simultaneous ESPN broadcast and a Guinness-hosted live premiere in Lubbock, the documentary is expected to be a game-changing production not only for college baseball fans, but for anyone inspired by leadership, perseverance, and passion.

*Tadlock: Built From Grit* promises to be more than a sports film—it’s a tribute to one man’s enduring influence on the game and the countless lives he’s touched along the way.
